Installation Instructions
Below is the step by step process of the installation of MailManager.
Requirements for MailManager Setup:
Server End Requirements
Windows based Server PC (With IIS 5 or above) to host MailManager web application.
.Net Framework 3.5.
Valid SMTP and POP E-Mail accounts for admins to send/receive Newsletters. (POP accounts are needed for parsing Bounced Back Newsletters).
Running instance of SQL Server 2000 or above.
Client End Requirements
Javascript enabled Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer with Adobe flash plug-in installed.
Installation Procedure with Server Access
Buy MailManager here and get a registration key which enables you to register your copy of MailManager.
You will be provided the ZIP file and a registration key after buying MailManager. Unzip the zip file where you want to host MailManager web application.
Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager from Control Panel->Administrative Tools.
In the left pane right click "Web Sites" and select the option "New -> Web Site...".
Click "Next" on the Welcome window of Web Site Creation Wizard.
On the next screen in the "Description" box write "MailManager" and click "Next".
On the next screen assign a valid IP by entering in the "Enter the IP address to use for this Web Site:", assign a valid Port number in the "TCP Port" box (in most cases the default 80 is correct). Click "Next".
On the next wizard screen enter the path where you extracted the zip provided, and click "Next".
Check the first three check boxes namely "Read", "Run Scripts", "Execute"and click "Next", then Finish the wizard by clicking the "Finish" button on the next screen.
You have successfully hosted MailManager on the server.
In the end assign "Modify" permission on the sub folders "NewsletterInlineImages" and "UploadedFile" in MailManager folder. You can do this by right clicking on these folders and click on "Properties" and then click on "Security" tab and select user "Network Service" then check the box "Modify" and click "Ok".
